OLTCC is active in advocating for matters that will help ensure Ontarians receive excellent care in Long Term Care. The following items are a sample of Government and Media engagement. OLTCC was a member of the Ministry of Long Term Care’s COVID-19 Response and Recovery Committee and the Medical Leadership Task Team. Furthermore, OLTCC has had representation on the Technical Advisory Table, a MLTC committee formed to support improved access to diagnostics and various tests in LTC. We have had a number of constructive meetings with Government personnel and decision makers. Our approach is respectful and constructive as we work with our partners and stakeholders across health care. This has allowed OLTCC to positively provide input into the legislation including the recently amended Fixing Long Term Care Act.
